The building’s historic exterior façade was completely restored. Among various elements, this included restoration of the traditional brick masonry, the black timber shutters, the mahogany windows, the slate roof, and various metallic copper elements including the gutter-drainage system and turnbuckles.
The interior of the hotel was carefully ‘peeled-back’ to its most rudimentary elements. From there, the building was meticulously ‘put back together’, with redesigned floorplans and systems to enhance the user experience.
The interior design was led by Beacon Hill-based designer Maribeth Brostowski. The design was carefully layered from the building’s envelope, to its wall/window treatments, to its furniture and finishings. The interiors were tied together with eclectic art, primarily sourced from local galleries on Newbury Street.

We opened up spaces, taking down walls and creating comforting new shared areas. Every room has been completely renovated, with brand-new finishes, windows, and state-of-the-art features.
The dining room has been transformed into a warm, eclectic, welcoming neighborhood space that just so happens to serve a special fusion of European and American cuisine. Also, stay tuned for our next exciting boutique hotel along the East Coast!

We wanted to build a sense of wonder and intrigue into every space of the hotel. Hidden inside the 19th century townhouses, you’ll find gorgeous eclectic areas, welcoming amenity spaces, and one-of-a-kind suites and guestrooms designed with timeless sensibilities.
